 Yuvraj Singh, who played a stellar role in India's ODI World Cup triumph last year, has been diagnosed with cancer and is undergoing chemotherapy in the United States. The 30-year-old left-hander has been in US since last month being treated for what was earlier claimed to be a tumour in the lungs by his family.

Dear Members/Parents/Carers,

Colts Winter development/training programme has been scheduled and will run from Saturday 21st January until Saturday 7^th April 2012 for U9s /11s /13s /U15s.  Timings are:

• U9s                             -   1430 to 1630 hours
• U11s/13s/15s            -   1630 to 1830 hours         

 The training programme will be open to all children, of all abilities, and teach the basic skills of batting, bowling and fielding through group coaching and games.

Safety of children is paramount for Slough Cricket Club and in accordance with ECB Safe Hands policy; safe environment will be provided for the training.

The training programme has been produced for Colts coaches for each lesson for duration of the winter nets to ensure consistency in coaching for the appropriate age group.

Colts Application form can be downloaded from the Slough Cricket Club website (http://www.sloughcc.co.uk/).  To abide by the ECB Safe Hands policy the Colts application form must be completed, signed and presented on the first day of joining.   Also members/parents/corers must read and make themselves familiar with the ‘Code and Conduct’ rules for the Club

Costs for the registration for 2012 season including the winter nets is £110.00 per child, which needs to be included with the Colts Application form. Registration day will be held at Slough Cricket Club on Saturday 14th January between 1000 and 1130 hours. Appreciate if all players/parents can attend to complete registration before start of the winter nets.
