6. Parent/Guardian Code of Conduct

Slough Cricket Club recognizes the indispensable contribution parents and guardians make to the growth and success of young cricketers. To ensure a positive and constructive atmosphere, we have outlined a Code of Conduct that we ask all parents and guardians to follow

  • Uphold and respect the decisions made by the Youth Coordinator, Coach, and Manager, recognizing their expertise and authority in all cricket-related matters.
  • Provide your child with consistent encouragement without subjecting them to undue pressure or negative comments.
  • Prioritize timeliness by ensuring that players are present well ahead of scheduled matches and training sessions.
  • See that players are dressed according to the prescribed dress code and are equipped with all necessary gear. Encourage self-responsibility by letting players carry their own kit.
  • Keep off the dressing rooms and only enter when specifically invited by a member of the Management team.
  • Refrain from stepping onto the playing field or disrupting warm-ups and training sessions, unless explicitly asked to do so by the coaching staff.
  • On match days, do not interfere or distract your child; let the coaches do their job.
  • If your child is facing external challenges like injuries, sickness, or academic stress, please inform the team's Coach or Manager as soon as possible.
  • For any queries or concerns, don't hesitate to have a respectful dialogue with the Coach or Manager.
  • Be prepared to help with non-coaching responsibilities when the situation calls for it.
  • Understand and accept that player selection for any team under Slough Cricket Club is solely based on the judgment of the respective Coach and Management team.
  • Your adherence to this Code of Conduct helps create a nurturing and successful environment for all involved. We appreciate your ongoing support and cooperation.

Thank you.
